Hebrew ויען המלך שלמה ויאמר לאמו ולמה את שאלת את־אבישג השנמית לאדניהו ושאלי־לו את־המלוכה כי הוא אחי הגדול ממני ולו ולאביתר הכהן וליואב בן־צרויה׃ ף
Greek και απεκριθη σαλωμων ο βασιλευς και ειπεν τη μητρι αυτου και ινα τι συ ητησαι την αβισακ τω αδωνια και αιτησαι αυτω την βασιλειαν οτι ουτος αδελφος μου ο μεγας υπερ εμε και αυτω αβιαθαρ ο ιερευς και αυτω ιωαβ ο υιος σαρουιας ο αρχιστρατηγος
Latin Responditque rex Salomon, et dixit matri suæ : Quare postulas Abisag Sunamitidem Adoniæ ? Postula ei et regnum : ipse est enim frater meus major me, et habet Abiathar sacerdotem, et Joab filium Sarviæ.
KJV And king Solomon answered and said unto his mother, And why dost thou ask Abishag the Shunammite for Adonijah? ask for him the kingdom also; for he is mine elder brother; even for him, and for Abiathar the priest, and for Joab the son of Zeruiah.
