Hebrew ויחן שאול בגבעת החכילה אשר על־פני הישימן על־הדרך ודוד ישב במדבר וירא כי בא שאול אחריו המדברה׃
Greek και παρενεβαλεν σαουλ εν τω βουνω του εχελα επι προσωπου του ιεσσαιμουν επι της οδου και δαυιδ εκαθισεν εν τη ερημω και ειδεν δαυιδ οτι ηκει σαουλ οπισω αυτου εις την
Latin Et castrametatus est Saul in Gabaa Hachila, quæ erat ex adverso solitudinis in via : David autem habitabat in deserto. Videns autem quod venisset Saul post se in desertum,
