A certain man drew his bow at random, and struck the king of Israel between the joints of the armor. Therefore he said to the driver of the chariot, "Turn your hand, and carry me out of the army; for I am severely wounded."

Hebrew ואיש משך בקשת לתמו ויך את־מלך ישראל בין הדבקים ובין השרין ויאמר לרכב הפך והוצאתני מן־המחנה כי החליתי׃
Greek και ανηρ ενετεινεν τοξον ευστοχως και επαταξεν τον βασιλεα ισραηλ ανα μεσον του πνευμονος και ανα μεσον του θωρακος και ειπεν τω ηνιοχω επιστρεφε την χειρα σου και εξαγαγε με εκ του πολεμου οτι
Latin Accidit autem ut unus e populo sagittam in incertum jaceret, et percuteret regem Israël inter cervicem et scapulas. At ille aurigæ suo ait : Converte manum tuam, et educ me de acie, quia vulneratus sum.
KJV And a certain man drew a bow at a venture, and smote the king of Israel between the joints of the harness: therefore he said to his chariot man, Turn thine hand, that thou mayest carry me out of the host; for I am wounded.
