It was so, when Elisha the man of God heard that the king of Israel had torn his clothes, that he sent to the king, saying, "Why have you torn your clothes? Let him come now to me, and he shall know that there is a prophet in Israel."

Hebrew ויהי כשמע אלישע איש־האלהים כי־קרע מלך־ישראל את־בגדיו וישלח אל־המלך לאמר למה קרעת בגדיך יבא־נא אלי וידע כי יש נביא בישראל׃
Greek και εγενετο ως ηκουσεν ελισαιε οτι διερρηξεν ο βασιλευς ισραηλ τα ιματια εαυτου και απεστειλεν προς τον βασιλεα ισραηλ λεγων ινα τι διερρηξας τα ιματια σου ελθετω δη προς με ναιμαν και γνωτω οτι εστιν προφητης εν
Latin Quod cum audisset Eliseus vir Dei, scidisse videlicet regem Israël vestimenta sua, misit ad eum, dicens : Quare scidisti vestimenta tua ? veniat ad me, et sciat esse prophetam in Israël.
KJV And it was so, when Elisha the man of God had heard that the king of Israel had rent his clothes, that he sent to the king, saying, Wherefore hast thou rent thy clothes? let him come now to me, and he shall know that there is a prophet in Israel.
