Hebrew תרתי בלבי למשוך ביין את־בשרי ולבי נהג בחכמה ולאחז בסכלות עד אשר־אראה אי־זה טוב לבני האדם אשר יעשו תחת השמים מספר ימי חייהם׃
Greek κατεσκεψαμην εν καρδια μου του ελκυσαι εις οινον την σαρκα μου και καρδια μου ωδηγησεν εν σοφια και του κρατησαι επ' αφροσυνη εως ου ιδω ποιον το αγαθον τοις υιοις του ανθρωπου ο ποιησουσιν υπο τον ηλιον αριθμον ημερων ζωης
Latin Cogitavi in corde meo abstrahere a vino carnem meam, ut animam meam transferrem ad sapientiam, devitaremque stultitiam, donec viderem quid esset utile filiis hominum, quo facto opus est sub sole numero dierum vitæ suæ.
