Moses said, "It isn't appropriate to do so; for we shall sacrifice the abomination of the Egyptians to Yahweh our God. Behold, shall we sacrifice the abomination of the Egyptians before their eyes, and won't they stone us?

Hebrew ויאמר משה לא נכון לעשות כן כי תועבת מצרים נזבח ליהוה אלהינו הן נזבח את־תועבת מצרים לעיניהם ולא יסקלנו׃
Greek και ειπεν μωυσης ου δυνατον γενεσθαι ουτως τα γαρ βδελυγματα των αιγυπτιων θυσομεν κυριω τω θεω ημων εαν γαρ θυσωμεν τα βδελυγματα των αιγυπτιων εναντιον αυτων
Latin Et ait Moyses : Non potest ita fieri : abominationes enim Ægyptiorum immolabimus Domino Deo nostro : quod si mactaverimus ea quæ colunt Ægyptii coram eis, lapidibus nos obruent.
KJV And Moses said, It is not meet so to do; for we shall sacrifice the abomination of the Egyptians to the LORD our God: lo, shall we sacrifice the abomination of the Egyptians before their eyes, and will they not stone us?
