- The word of Yahweh came to me, saying,
- Son of man, set your face toward the children of Ammon, and prophesy against them:
- and tell the children of Ammon, Hear the word of the Lord Yahweh: Thus says the Lord Yahweh, Because you said, Aha, against my sanctuary, when it was profaned; and against the land of Israel, when it was made desolate; and against the house of Judah, when they went into captivity:
- therefore, behold, I will deliver you to the children of the east for a possession, and they shall set their encampments in you, and make their dwellings in you; they shall eat your fruit, and they shall drink your milk.
- I will make Rabbah a stable for camels, and the children of Ammon a resting place for flocks: and you shall know that I am Yahweh.
- For thus says the Lord Yahweh: Because you have clapped your hands, and stamped with the feet, and rejoiced with all the despite of your soul against the land of Israel;
- therefore, behold, I have stretched out my hand on you, and will deliver you for a spoil to the nations; and I will cut you off from the peoples, and I will cause you to perish out of the countries: I will destroy you; and you shall know that I am Yahweh.
- Thus says the Lord Yahweh: Because Moab and Seir say, Behold, the house of Judah is like all the nations;
- therefore, behold, I will open the side of Moab from the cities, from his cities which are on his frontiers, the glory of the country, Beth Jeshimoth, Baal Meon, and Kiriathaim,
- to the children of the east, [to go] against the children of Ammon; and I will give them for a possession, that the children of Ammon may not be remembered among the nations.
- and I will execute judgments on Moab; and they shall know that I am Yahweh.
- Thus says the Lord Yahweh: Because Edom has dealt against the house of Judah by taking vengeance, and has greatly offended, and revenged himself on them;
- therefore thus says the Lord Yahweh, I will stretch out my hand on Edom, and will cut off man and animal from it; and I will make it desolate from Teman; even to Dedan shall they fall by the sword.
- I will lay my vengeance on Edom by the hand of my people Israel; and they shall do in Edom according to my anger and according to my wrath; and they shall know my vengeance, says the Lord Yahweh.
- Thus says the Lord Yahweh: Because the Philistines have dealt by revenge, and have taken vengeance with despite of soul to destroy with perpetual enmity;
- therefore thus says the Lord Yahweh, Behold, I will stretch out my hand on the Philistines, and I will cut off the Cherethites, and destroy the remnant of the sea coast.
- I will execute great vengeance on them with wrathful rebukes; and they shall know that I am Yahweh, when I shall lay my vengeance on them.

- ויהי דבר־יהוה אלי לאמר׃
- בן־אדם שים פניך אל־בני עמון והנבא עליהם׃
- ואמרת לבני עמון שמעו דבר־אדני יהוה כה־אמר אדני יהוה יען אמרך האח אל־מקדשי כי־נחל ואל־אדמת ישראל כי נשמה ואל־בית יהודה כי הלכו בגולה׃
- לכן הנני נתנך לבני־קדם למורשה וישבו טירותיהם בך ונתנו בך משכניהם המה יאכלו פריך והמה ישתו חלבך׃
- ונתתי את־רבה לנוה גמלים ואת־בני עמון למרבץ־צאן וידעתם כי־אני יהוה׃ ס
- כי כה אמר אדני יהוה יען מחאך יד ורקעך ברגל ותשמח בכל־שאטך בנפש אל־אדמת ישראל׃
- לכן הנני נטיתי את־ידי עליך ונתתיך־ לגוים והכרתיך מן־העמים והאבדתיך מן־הארצות אשמידך וידעת כי־אני יהוה׃ ס
- כה אמר אדני יהוה יען אמר מואב ושעיר הנה ככל־הגוים בית יהודה׃
- לכן הנני פתח את־כתף מואב מהערים מעריו מקצהו צבי ארץ בית הישימת בעל מעון ׃
- לבני־קדם על־בני עמון ונתתיה למורשה למען לא־תזכר בני־עמון בגוים׃
- ובמואב אעשה שפטים וידעו כי־אני יהוה׃ ס
- כה אמר אדני יהוה יען עשות אדום בנקם נקם לבית יהודה ויאשמו אשום ונקמו בהם׃
- לכן כה אמר אדני יהוה ונטתי ידי על־אדום והכרתי ממנה אדם ובהמה ונתתיה חרבה מתימן ודדנה בחרב יפלו׃
- ונתתי את־נקמתי באדום ביד עמי ישראל ועשו באדום כאפי וכחמתי וידעו את־נקמתי נאם אדני יהוה׃ ף
- כה אמר אדני יהוה יען עשות פלשתים בנקמה וינקמו נקם בשאט בנפש למשחית איבת עולם׃
- לכן כה אמר אדני יהוה הנני נוטה ידי על־פלשתים והכרתי את־כרתים והאבדתי את־שארית חוף הים׃
- ועשיתי בם נקמות גדלות בתוכחות חמה וידעו כי־אני יהוה בתתי את־נקמתי בם׃ ס

- Et factus est sermo Domini ad me, dicens :
- Fili hominis, pone faciem tuam contra filios Ammon, et prophetabis de eis.
- Et dices filiis Ammon : Audite verbum Domini Dei. Hæc dicit Dominus Deus : Pro eo quod dixisti : Euge, euge, super sanctuarium meum, quia pollutum est ; et super terram Israël, quoniam desolata est ; et super domum Juda, quoniam ducti sunt in captivitatem :
- idcirco ego tradam te filiis orientalibus in hæreditatem : et collocabunt caulas suas in te, et ponent in te tentoria sua : ipsi comedent fruges tuas, et ipsi bibent lac tuum.
- Daboque Rabbath in habitaculum camelorum, et filios Ammon in cubile pecorum : et scietis quia ego Dominus.
- Quia hæc dicit Dominus Deus : Pro eo quod plausisti manu et percussisti pede, et gavisa es ex toto affectu super terram Israël,
- idcirco ecce ego extendam manum meam super te, et tradam te in direptionem gentium, et interficiam te de populis, et perdam de terris, et conteram : et scies quia ego Dominus.
- Hæc dicit Dominus Deus : Pro eo quod dixerunt Moab et Seir : Ecce sicut omnes gentes, domus Juda :
- idcirco ecce ego aperiam humerum Moab de civitatibus, de civitatibus, inquam, ejus, et de finibus ejus, inclytas terræ Bethiesimoth, et Beelmeon, et Cariathaim,
- filiis orientis cum filiis Ammon, et dabo eam in hæreditatem, ut non sit ultra memoria filiorum Ammon in gentibus.
- Et in Moab faciam judicia, et scient quia ego Dominus.
- Hæc dicit Dominus Deus : Pro eo quod fecit Idumæa ultionem ut se vindicaret de filiis Juda, peccavitque delinquens, et vindictam expetivit de eis :
- idcirco hæc dicit Dominus Deus : Extendam manum meam super Idumæam, et auferam de ea hominem et jumentum, et faciam eam desertam ab austro : et qui sunt in Dedan gladio cadent.
- Et dabo ultionem meam super Idumæam per manum populi mei Israël, et facient in Edom juxta iram meam et furorem meum, et scient vindictam meam, dicit Dominus Deus.
- Hæc dicit Dominus Deus : Pro eo quod fecerunt Palæstini vindictam, et ulti se sunt toto animo, interficientes, et implentes inimicitias veteres,
- propterea hæc dicit Dominus Deus : Ecce ego extendam manum meam super Palæstinos, et interficiam interfectores, et perdam reliquias maritimæ regionis,
- faciamque in eis ultiones magnas, arguens in furore : et scient quia ego Dominus, cum dedero vindictam meam super eos.

- And say unto the Ammonites, Hear the word of the Lord GOD; Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou saidst, Aha, against my sanctuary, when it was profaned; and against the land of Israel, when it was desolate; and against the house of Judah, when they went into captivity;
- Behold, therefore I will deliver thee to the men of the east for a possession, and they shall set their palaces in thee, and make their dwellings in thee: they shall eat thy fruit, and they shall drink thy milk.
- And I will make Rabbah a stable for camels, and the Ammonites a couchingplace for flocks: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.
