Hebrew וישא עיניו וירא את־האיש הארח ברחב העיר ויאמר האיש הזקן אנה תלך ומאין תבוא׃
Greek και ηρεν τους οφθαλμους αυτου και ειδεν τον οδοιπορον ανδρα εν τη πλατεια της πολεως και ειπεν ο ανηρ ο πρεσβυτης που πορευη και ποθεν
Latin Elevatisque oculis, vidit senex sedentem hominem cum sarcinulis suis in platea civitatis, et dixit ad eum : Unde venis ? et quo vadis ?
KJV And when he had lifted up his eyes, he saw a wayfaring man in the street of the city: and the old man said, Whither goest thou? and whence comest thou?
