Hebrew מחזיק באזני־כלב עבר מתעבר על־ריב לא־לו׃
Greek ωσπερ ο κρατων κερκου κυνος ουτως ο προεστως αλλοτριας
Latin Sicut qui apprehendit auribus canem, sic qui transit impatiens et commiscetur rixæ alterius.
KJV He that passeth by, and meddleth with strife belonging not to him, is like one that taketh a dog by the ears.
