אבל עתה נפטרנו מן התורה כי מתנו לאשר היינו אסורים בו למען נעבד מעתה לפי התחדשות הרוח ולא לפי ישן הכתב׃

Greek νυνι δε κατηργηθημεν απο του νομου αποθανοντες εν ω κατειχομεθα ωστε δουλευειν εν καινοτητι πνευματος και ου παλαιοτητι γραμματος
Latin Nunc autem soluti sumus a lege mortis, in qua detinebamur, ita ut serviamus in novitate spiritus, et non in vetustate litteræ.
KJV But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.
