Grace is God's love poured out on undeserving humanity. All have fallen short of the glory of God - all have sinned. Yet God loves us still. Nothing we do can restore us to a right relationship with God. It is only through faith in Christ, in his death and resurrection that we can return to God.

A wise man was once asked what set Christianity apart from other religions. He thought about it for a minute and then answered with a single word... Grace

God's Riches At Christ's Expense

Grace is unmerited favor. Unchanging, unmerited favor.

God's grace is that He chooses to accept me, love me, forgive me, give me good things etc. even though I do not deserve them, even when I ignore him, even when I go against him, etc. Grace gives and doesn't demand. Grace hugs when all others condemn. Grace is a smile, a laugh, a kind word. Grace gives even when it hurts. Grace is loving the unlovely. Grace is meeting and caring when all others want to hate or ignore.

Grace means free undeserved forgiveness. Grace is getting what we don't deserve.

U2 puts it well: "Grace makes beauty out of ugly things..."
