overviewWhen Jesus taught his disciples to pray, he gave them the words of the prayer that is now known as "The Lord's Prayer". It begins, "Our father in heaven, hallowed be your name". This prayer is very familiar to contemporary Christians and is said weekly in many church services, especially more traditional ones.
