Acts 1 gives a brief account of the time following the resurrection of Jesus until the coming of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost. It is a continuation of the Gospel of Luke and sets up the scene for the whole book of Acts, where the gospel spreads from Jerusalem and Judea, to Samaria, to the "whole earth".
