Synopsis: The Book of Enoch generally refers to the first book of Enoch (there is also a 2 Enoch and 3 Enoch), a book that attributes itself to Enoch, the great-grandfather of Noah (Genesis 5:18). The book is considered part of the Bible in the Ethiopian Orthodox Church, but not in any other denominations. It was probably written around 160 BC.
