Hebrew	ואיש אחד ושמו שמעון היה מלפנים בעיר מכשף ומשמים את עם שמרון באמרו על נפשו כי גדול הוא׃
Greek	ανηρ δε τις ονοματι σιμων προυπηρχεν εν τη πολει μαγευων και εξιστανων το εθνος της σαμαρειας λεγων ειναι τινα εαυτον μεγαν
Latin	Vir autem quidam nomine Simon, qui ante fuerat in civitate magnus, seducens gentem Samariæ, dicens se esse aliquem magnum :
