The Baptist Union of Australia is the largest national cooperative body of Baptists in Australia. It is currently headed by Reverend Ross Clifford. The first baptist church established in Australia was in Hobart in 1835. The national baptist union was founded in 1926 by representatives from existing state unions that had already been formed. The union now is composed of about 800 churches and 65,000 members. (Read more) |
