The Raëlian Movement is a religious organization which believes that scientifically advanced extraterrestrials known as the Elohim (one of the words used to refer to God in the Old Testament) created life on Earth through genetic engineering, and that a combination of human cloning and "mind transfer" can ultimately provide immortality. Raëlism is a new religious movement, started by Claude Vorilhon (born 1946).
