Gregory lived from AD 329 to 25 January 389. He is sometimes known as Saint Gregory the Theologian. The [[Eastern Orthodox Church]] considers him one of the Three Holy Hierarchs, together with his friend [[Basil the Great]] and [[John Chrysostom]].
