A new patriach for Jerusalem has been elected by The [[Greek Orthodox Church]]. Theofilos replaces Irineos as the new patriach of the 100,000 [[Christians]] in Palestine and Israel. Irineos was removed from his position after controversy in which he has been accused of selling [[Church]] land.
