Psalm 6 Text (WEB)
|
- Yahweh, don't rebuke me in your anger, neither discipline me in your wrath.
- Have mercy on me, Yahweh, for I am faint. Yahweh, heal me, for my bones are troubled.
- My soul is also in great anguish. But you, Yahweh--how long?
- Return, Yahweh. Deliver my soul, and save me for your loving kindness' sake.
- For in death there is no memory of you. In Sheol, who shall give you thanks?
- I am weary with my groaning. Every night I flood my bed. I drench my couch with my tears.
- My eye wastes away because of grief. It grows old because of all my adversaries.
- Depart from me, all you workers of iniquity, for Yahweh has heard the voice of my weeping.
- Yahweh has heard my supplication. Yahweh accepts my prayer.
- May all my enemies be ashamed and dismayed. They shall turn back, they shall be disgraced suddenly. A meditation by David, which he sang to Yahweh, concerning the words of Cush, the Benjamite.

Psalm 6 Text (Latin)
|
- In finem, in carminibus. Psalmus David. Pro octava.
- Miserere mei, Domine, quoniam infirmus sum ; sana me, Domine, quoniam conturbata sunt ossa mea.
- Et anima mea turbata est valde ; sed tu, Domine, usquequo ?
- Convertere, Domine, et eripe animam meam ; salvum me fac propter misericordiam tuam.
- Discedite a me omnes qui operamini iniquitatem, quoniam exaudivit Dominus vocem fletus mei.
- Exaudivit Dominus deprecationem meam ; Dominus orationem meam suscepit.
- Erubescant, et conturbentur vehementer omnes inimici mei ; convertantur, et erubescant valde velociter.

Psalm 6 Text (KJV)
|
- O LORD, rebuke me not in thine anger, neither chasten me in thy hot displeasure.
- Have mercy upon me, O LORD; for I am weak: O LORD, heal me; for my bones are vexed.
- My soul is also sore vexed: but thou, O LORD, how long?
- Return, O LORD, deliver my soul: oh save me for thy mercies' sake.
- For in death there is no remembrance of thee: in the grave who shall give thee thanks?
- I am weary with my groaning; all the night make I my bed to swim; I water my couch with my tears.
- Mine eye is consumed because of grief; it waxeth old because of all mine enemies.
- Depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity; for the LORD hath heard the voice of my weeping.
- The LORD hath heard my supplication; the LORD will receive my prayer.
- Let all mine enemies be ashamed and sore vexed: let them return and be ashamed suddenly.
