Greek is the language spoken in Greece. An older version of it, known as Koine Greek (or "New Testament Greek") was the lingua franca of the Roman Empire during the time of Jesus. A Greek is also a person from Greece, and is used in the New Testament to describe either people from Greece, or those who weren't Jews. (Read more) |
