Falsehood.
(1.) A town in the Shephelah, or plain country of Judah (Josh. 15:44); probably the same as Chezib of Gen. 38:5 = Ain Kezbeh.
Falsehood(2. ) A Phoenician city (1the Gr.Ecdippa) A town , always retained in their possession though assigned to the Shephelah, or plain country tribe of Judah Asher (Josh. 1519:4429; Judg. 1:31); probably . It is identified with the modern es-Zib, on the same as Chezib Mediterranean, about 8 miles north of Gen. 38:5 = Ain KezbehAccho.
