Psalm 32 - Versions
Psalm 32 Text (WEB)
  1. Blessed is he whose disobedience is forgiven, whose sin is covered.
  2. Blessed is the man to whom Yahweh doesn't impute iniquity, in whose spirit there is no deceit.
  3. When I kept silence, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long.
  4. For day and night your hand was heavy on me. My strength was sapped in the heat of summer. Selah.
  5. I acknowledged my sin to you. I didn't hide my iniquity. I said, I will confess my transgressions to Yahweh, and you forgave the iniquity of my sin. Selah.
  6. For this, let everyone who is godly pray to you in a time when you may be found. Surely when the great waters overflow, they shall not reach to him.
  7. You are my hiding place. You will preserve me from trouble. You will surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah.
  8. I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you.
  9. Don't be like the horse, or like the mule, which have no understanding, who are controlled by bit and bridle, or else they will not come near to you.
  10. Many sorrows come to the wicked, but loving kindness shall surround him who trusts in Yahweh.
  11. Be glad in Yahweh, and rejoice, you righteous! Shout for joy, all you who are upright in heart!

  1. לדוד משכיל אשרי נשוי־פשע כסוי חטאה׃
  2. אשרי אדם לא יחשב יהוה לו עון ואין ברוחו רמיה׃
  3. כי־החרשתי בלו עצמי בשאגתי כל־היום׃
  4. כי יוםם ולילה תכבד עלי ידך נהפך לשדי בחרבני קיץ סלה׃
  5. חטאתי אודיעך ועוני לא־כסיתי אמרתי אודה עלי פשעי ליהוה ואתה נשאת עון חטאתי סלה׃
  6. על־זאת יתפלל כל־חסיד אליך לעת מצא רק לשטף מים רבים אליו לא יגיעו׃
  7. אתה סתר לי מצר תצרני רני פלט תסובבני סלה׃
  8. אשכילך ואורך בדרך־זו תלך איעצה עליך עיני׃
  9. אל־תהיו כסוס כפרד אין הבין במתג־ורסן עדיו לבלום בל קרב אליך׃
  10. רבים מכאובים לרשע והבוטח ביהוה חסד יסובבנו׃
  11. שמחו ביהוה וגילו צדיקים והרנינו כל־ישרי־לב׃

  1. τω δαυιδ συνεσεως μακαριοι ων αφεθησαν αι ανομιαι και ων επεκαλυφθησαν αι
  2. μακαριος ανηρ ου ου μη λογισηται κυριος αμαρτιαν ουδε εστιν εν τω στοματι αυτου
  3. οτι εσιγησα επαλαιωθη τα οστα μου απο του κραζειν με ολην την
  4. οτι ημερας και νυκτος εβαρυνθη επ' εμε η χειρ σου εστραφην εις ταλαιπωριαν εν τω εμπαγηναι ακανθαν
  5. την αμαρτιαν μου εγνωρισα και την ανομιαν μου ουκ εκαλυψα ειπα εξαγορευσω κατ' εμου την ανομιαν μου τω κυριω και συ αφηκας την ασεβειαν της αμαρτιας μου
  6. υπερ ταυτης προσευξεται πας οσιος προς σε εν καιρω ευθετω πλην εν κατακλυσμω υδατων πολλων προς αυτον ουκ
  7. συ μου ει καταφυγη απο θλιψεως της περιεχουσης με το αγαλλιαμα μου λυτρωσαι με απο των κυκλωσαντων με
  8. συνετιω σε και συμβιβω σε εν οδω ταυτη η πορευση επιστηριω επι σε τους οφθαλμους
  9. μη γινεσθε ως ιππος και ημιονος οις ουκ εστιν συνεσις εν χαλινω και κημω τας σιαγονας αυτων αγξαι των μη εγγιζοντων προς
  10. πολλαι αι μαστιγες του αμαρτωλου τον δε ελπιζοντα επι κυριον ελεος
  11. ευφρανθητε επι κυριον και αγαλλιασθε δικαιοι και καυχασθε παντες οι ευθεις τη

  1. Ipsi David intellectus. Beati quorum remissæ sunt iniquitates, et quorum tecta sunt peccata.
  2. Beatus vir cui non imputavit Dominus peccatum, nec est in spiritu ejus dolus.
  3. Quoniam tacui, inveteraverunt ossa mea, dum clamarem tota die.
  4. Quoniam die ac nocte gravata est super me manus tua ; conversus sum in ærumna mea, dum configitur spina.
  5. Delictum meum cognitum tibi feci, et injustitiam meam non abscondi. Dixi : Confitebor adversum me injustitiam meam Domino ; et tu remisisti impietatem peccati mei.
  6. Pro hac orabit ad te omnis sanctus in tempore opportuno. Verumtamen in diluvio aquarum multarum, ad eum non approximabunt.
  7. Tu es refugium meum a tribulatione quæ circumdedit me ; exsultatio mea, erue me a circumdantibus me.
  8. Intellectum tibi dabo, et instruam te in via hac qua gradieris ; firmabo super te oculos meos.
  9. Nolite fieri sicut equus et mulus, quibus non est intellectus. In camo et freno maxillas eorum constringe, qui non approximant ad te.
  10. Multa flagella peccatoris ; sperantem autem in Domino misericordia circumdabit.
  11. Lætamini in Domino, et exsultate, justi ; et gloriamini, omnes recti corde.

  3. When I kept silence, my bones waxed old through my roaring all the day long.
  4. For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me: my moisture is turned into the drought of summer. Selah.
  5. I acknowledged my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the LORD; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah.
  6. For this shall every one that is godly pray unto thee in a time when thou mayest be found: surely in the floods of great waters they shall not come nigh unto him.
  7. Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance. Selah.
  8. I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.
  9. Be ye not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding: whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, lest they come near unto thee.
  10. Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: but he that trusteth in the LORD, mercy shall compass him about.
  11. Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.
