Lot is a bible charecter. He is the son of Abraham's brother Haran. The story of Lot is mentioned in the book of Genesis.He is mentioned in chapters 11-14 and 19. Lot went and and settled near the cities of Sodom and Gomarrah. One day he saw two angels near the city. He asked to come to his house but they refused. On further prompting they entered his house. That night the men of Sodom gathered around Lot's house and said that they wanted to have sex with them. Lot offered the men his virgin daughters instead. Later the angels told Lot that God has intended to destroy the city of Sodom. Lot asked his wife, daughters, and sons in laws to escape from the city. Lot's son in laws thought that he was joking and lot also lingered behind. The angels grabbed Lot, Lot's wife and daughters from the city. God rained Sodom with brimstone and fire and destroyed it. Lot's wife looked behind and turned to a pillar of salt. Later Lot and his daughters settled in a cave. Lots daughters made lot drunk and slept with him and got pregnent.
