The account of his reign is briefly told in [[2 Kings 15]]:8-12. Zachariah ruled Israel only for six months before Shallum usurped the throne and put him to death, ending the dynasty of [[Jehu]].

Zachariah ("remembered by the Lord") was a king of the ancient Kingdom of Israel, and son of Jeroboam II. He reigned around 750 BC. The account of his reign is briefly told in 2 Kings 15:8-12. Zachariah ruled Israel only for six months before Shallum usurped the throne and put him to death, ending the dynasty of Jehu.
