Administrators
Follow this procedure when banning a persistent vandal who has been warned and blocked previously, but refuses to contribute constructively:
- Block the user indefinitely by using Special:Blockip.
- Leave the banning template on the vandal's talk page, which will inform him/her of the ban, and the reason(s) for it (instructions for using the template are on the template's page).
- Place this template on the user's userpage (deleting the old one first if it has a history) by using this code:
{{banned|REASON}}
, replacing REASON with the reason(s) for the ban (ex., mass vandalism). - Fully protect the banned user's userpage.
