: Automatizing it is an excellent idea and I can see how that will work for the verse of the day. But for the prayer of the day, how is that going to work? Where are we going to draw the prayers from? Are we going to use generic prayers from various liturgical prayer books? --[[User:Graham grove|Graham]] 15:25, 2 May 2010 (UTC)

Hey Graham,

Life's going good for me right now, actually :) I've been busy with school and work, but I'll see what I can do about the clean up. I would use PilhetBot if it ws an automated program, but it's not an actual "bot" unfortunately. Just an account I flagged as a bot so all the miniscule changes and clean up work I did with it wouldn't clog up Recent Changes. :)

How are you doing, btw?

God bless, -- P.B. Pilhet / Talk 00:31, 11 October 2008 (PDT)

Reference Scripture pages

What should be done about these? At the moment they're at Special:deadendpages.

Kathleen.wright5 22:08, 12 October 2008 (UTC)

I reckon we should just delete them unless you can think of a good reason to keep them. Thanks. --Graham grove 05:36, 13 October 2008 (PDT)

Greek New Testament template

Should this be deleted? - Template:Galatians 1:23 (Greek) Kathleen.wright5 10:03, 16 October 2008 (UTC)

Forget about the above - I've just found the new template and I'm going to delete the one above. Kathleen.wright5 10:38, 16 October 2008 (UTC)

HELP!

I somehow deleted the original Text:Apostles' Creed. I tried to get it back but couldn't, so I copied the Wikisource one, then I found I had 2 Wikisource duplicates, I deleted 1, but found both had been deleted so undeleted. How do I remove only 1 copy?. There is now a Wikisource template Template:Wikisource which I used in the above article Kathleen.wright5 03:10, 19 October 2008 (UTC)

Not sure how to fix the problem. I'll look into it. Thanks Kathleen. --Graham 12:58, 21 October 2008 (PDT)

Opinion of information section on article

I'd like your opinion on the information section of this article Australian Christian Channel. Its the best I could do without an Infobox template, which I tried out here but found didn't work. Kathleen.wright5 02:36, 22 October 2008 (UTC)

Looks like you did well. I've re-formatted to fit WikiChristian's page layout style (WikiChristian:Page Layout). I'm not sure how to incorporate infoboxes. I'm not fussed about infoboxes - if the information can be put into prose then I think that that is good. And if not, then a table can always be created in the main article. Cheers. --Graham 07:55, 22 October 2008 (PDT)

Temple Mount

I've put an Infobox on the above article, but I'm not sure what to put for Returnto. Kathleen.wright5 08:28, 22 October 2008 (UTC)

That's great. A good returnto could probably be Jerusalem. --Graham 10:40, 22 October 2008 (PDT)

Update

Hello. I see there have been some major changes since I was gone. The one I noticed very quickly was to the Main Page. So, if you don't mind, could you update me on what has changed? I will still be a bit inactive, but I'll be sure to pop in from time to time for a while. I've been busy on both, real life and other wikis (such as Simple English Wikipedia and the English Wikipedia). – RyanCross (talk) 07:37, 23 October 2008 (PDT)

Yep, all is very well. Thank you for the links. I'll be sure to try to help with updating our content pages. Yours, – RyanCross (talk) 07:50, 23 October 2008 (PDT)

P.S I've fixed the problem of Text:EBD:Kadesh by removing 1 of the pages from the Index.

Source for Matthew Henry's Commentary on the Whole Bible

I thought you might like to look at this. Source for MHC - Matthew Henry's Commentary on the Whole Bible (Volume Index) - Christian Classics Ethereal Library. There is also a copy at Wikisource, but its very incomplete. Kathleen.wright5 23:01, 24 November 2008 (UTC).

New Message from a Fellow Commentary Wiki

Hi Graham,

I encountered your page through a series of links on the internet. I'm with www.biblefootnotes.org a new attempt at collaborative bible commentary on the web. I noticed that you're interested in bringing bible commentary attempts together and we are too and I'm wondering if we could start talking together about ways to do that. I placed a comment on the Talk site that you suggested as well, but I'm personally wondering if you would mind giving feedback on our site and your thoughts we could help in the project to unify all these different projects and how what we're doing complements your work here. I can be reached at efredric at g mail dot com. Thanks in advance!

Blocking Policy

I am a Christian, and I believe in being charitable, even praying for those who spitefully use us, but our blocking policy is not in tune with reality. Nearly 100% of the time if you are spammed by an anonymous I.P. address, you are not dealing with a human being but a zombie, about whom we have no word from the Lord on charity. These are computers who are virus infected and their owners don't even know that they are being used as part of concerted attacks against websites all over the world. I saw these "FIELD_VALUE_asljkas"-like attacks all over the internet the past few days by a variety of I.P. address. Blocking these address for a week or less just makes for more work during the next round of attacks. I think, that is malicious, spamming or destructive links are being done anonymously we should ban the address for a year, and always be careful to allow account creation: someone my come here from an infected computer and have no idea. Sorry to pontificate so, but I've been cleaning up these attacks all week all over the internet, and our policy just doesn't seem wise/effective. --Aquatiki 16:34, 17 December 2008 (PST)

I'm not really up to date on how all of these things happen and I don't reckon we've ever sat down and sorted out any sort of blocking policy. I think you're right and we should block these ip addresses for longer. Thanks. --121.45.192.82 00:31, 19 December 2008 (PST)

Thanks for the welcome

I appreciate the welcome back, Graham. I have to say that I sometimes get carried away on editing, so if I step on any toes, just let me know. Lamorak 02:11, 6 February 2009 (PST)

Message on my userpage for you

I've left a message on my userpage for you. Kathleen.wright5 11:28, 17 February 2009 (UTC)

Hey from Aquatiki

Hey GG, I'm super busy these days at work. I'm neglecting my own wiki. I haven't looked a WC in over a month. Just wanted to let you know that you should consider me gone. I don't know when things will ever go back to the way they were! Email me to communicate. --Aquatiki 20:19, 21 May 2009 (PDT)

New Logo?

I have a new WikiChristian logo at File:New Logo?.png. It adds transparency, a (in my opinion) better bible, and a drop shadow. Please comment and maybe approve! Darth Stabro 19:13, 19 April 2010 (UTC)

New Logo?.png

Looks great. I'm quite happy for the logo change. It'd be worth checking with Prab and the other regular users, and if they agree, go for it. Cheers. --Graham 03:44, 21 April 2010 (UTC)
  • I can't do it. I don't know what to do, as I am not sysop. (though I would accept were it offered!) Darth Stabro 12:54, 21 April 2010 (UTC)

Verse of the day/Prayer of the week

The verse of the day and prayer of the week are completely automatic. They automatically update when the day/week arrives. The only thing is that we have to update verses every month, but if we don't it still will work, it will just do the same verses/prayers. So no worries. Any other questions?~Darth Stabro ~(Talk)(contribs) 09:05, 2 May 2010 (UTC)

Automatizing it is an excellent idea and I can see how that will work for the verse of the day. But for the prayer of the day, how is that going to work? Where are we going to draw the prayers from? Are we going to use generic prayers from various liturgical prayer books? --Graham 15:25, 2 May 2010 (UTC)
The prayers will be submitted by users. They can add prayers they made, ones in the Bible, or ones other people made. I'm still working it out. ~Darth Stabro ~(Talk)(contribs) 16:40, 2 May 2010 (UTC)
