Assurance: comment and answer
:: I hope you don't think we are prying. My purpose in asking you these questions is to get to know you as a brother in Christ, not to have you pass some test or to find out sordid details about you. All of us need to grow in Christ and depend on Him more and more. I'm certainly not pretending I've "arrived" or something. I think my question was intended to reveal to whom or what you attribute authority. That is, how can we know anything? What is the measure by which we decide what is true? ... I think I'd better post more information about myself too! --Aquatiki 17:05, 4 August 2008 (PDT)
:::Heh, well, i certainly am not taking this as a test. I guess it seems like I'm taking one. But I'm not entirely sure how and what I'm supposed to do what your asking. -- Ryan†Cross (talk) 18:47, 4 August 2008 (PDT)
:::: Chatting on talk page via the internet is such an odd means of communication! I guess I read too much into you summaries of your edits. 'Glad you did feel like it was a test.
:::: The "pat" answer to what I'm saying is that the Bible without and the Holy Spirit within are the "normative norm" for all truth claims in life. How do you feel about such an answer? --Aquatiki 02:02, 5 August 2008 (PDT)
