A New Commandment is a relatively modern hymn with music by an unknown composer. Verse one is based upon John 13:34 - John 13:35, verses 2 - 4 are believed to have been adapted from John 15 and 1 Corinthians 13 by Fr. Aniceto Nazareth from St. Pius College, Goregaon, Mumbai, India.

Refrain

A new commandment I give unto you,

That you love one another as I have loved you,

That you love one another as I have loved you.

Verse 1

By this shall all men know that you are My disciples,

if you have love one for another.

By this shall all men know that you are My disciples,

if you have love one for another.
