He who was over the household, and he who was over the city, the elders also, and those who raised the children, sent to Jehu, saying, "We are your servants, and will do all that you ask us. We will not make any man king. You do that which is good in your eyes."

Hebrew | וישלח אשר־על־הבית ואשר על־העיר והזקנים והאמנים אל־יהוא לאמר עבדיך אנחנו וכל אשר־תאמר אלינו נעשה לא־נמליך איש הטוב בעיניך עשה׃ |
Greek | και απεστειλαν οι επι του οικου και οι επι της πολεως και οι πρεσβυτεροι και οι τιθηνοι προς ιου λεγοντες παιδες σου ημεις και οσα εαν ειπης προς ημας ποιησομεν ου βασιλευσομεν ανδρα το αγαθον εν οφθαλμοις σου |
