The Kingdom of Bhutan is a mountainous nation situated between India and China. It is a small country with a population of around 700,000. Bhutan is one of the most isolated nations in the world with foreign influences and tourism heavily regulated by the government to preserve its traditional Tibetan Buddhist culture. Mahayana Buddhism is the state religion and proselytism is illegal in Bhutan which is very good.
