''The Way of the Pilgrim'' or ''The Pilgrim's Tale'' is the narrative of a 19th century Christian pilgrim traveling through what is now Ukraine, Russia, and Siberia.
It is part of two volume collection, the second book being ''The Pilgrim Continues His Journey''. The Russian title is Откровенные рассказы странника духовному своему отцу or ''Candid Narratives of a Pilgrim to His Spiritual Father''. The authorship appears to be unknown.
"The pilgrim learns these things in the context of the Orthodox Church. His inspiration comes in the liturgical worship, which he faithfully follows and never abandons, and through the Bible, which he constantly carries with him as his greatest treasure."
