The epistles of the [[New Testament]] are Christian writings of [[Apostles]] to churches in particular parts of the world. The most prolific of apostolic writers was [[apostle Paul|Paul]]. Those not written by him are known as the "general epistles" and include [[Hebrews]], [[James]], [[1 Peter]], [[2 Peter]], [[1 John]], [[2 John]], [[3 John]] and [[Jude]].
