Carey grew up listening to His Dad sing: Johnny Cash, Hank Williams and Hymns on Sundays after Church.
At the age of 16, Carey worked most of His week-ends in Hotles Hotels and Wedding Halls: covering 50's, 60's, Punk, British, Country and Classic Rock'n'Blues Artists. After ten years, He acquired live experience in front of small crowds. He eventually landed four big breaksBig Breaks.
The first of which he opened for an obscure Texas Band at Barrymores Ottawa;
Who sounded like Stevie Ray Vaughn meets CCR and Who just got off tour Tour with The Fabuous Thunderbirds.
"Omar and The Howlers."
The second was a break Break out of denialDenial.
He had an Alcohol Addiction.
After fighting depression, anxiety and bouts of Failure; He listened to His Mother, Who prayed someday He'd meet and emulate people Who could mentor positive changes in His life. So He sold His truck and gear and called A.A.
After agressivly attending many meetings, He was able to get back on to his Feet.
The third big break Third Big Break happened one night, in a Little Chapel, May 1990. While singing hymns with people Who really looked like they knew Who they were singing to.Five or six songs later he found Himself ; surrounded with an incredibly awesome peace.
This was where He found out that,
The Lord is real!
This was where I first met Jesus.
Now,
after His third indi releaseThird Indi-Release, This Boy knows The Lord's saving grace Saving Grace and that He is interested in every aspect of our lives. He knows that life Life is not perfect and always a bed Bed of rosesRoses. He knows that God has given Him some Amazing New Brothers and Sisters and a realization of how important Family is.
