The Kingdom of Bhutan is a mountainous nation situated between [[India]] and [[China]]. It is a small country with a population of around 700,000. Bhutan is one of the most isolated nations in the world with foreign influences and tourism heavily regulated by the government to preserve its traditional Tibetan [[Buddhist]] culture. [[Mahayana]] Buddhism is the state religion and proselytism there is illegal persecution of followers of other religions. Christians are not allowed to pray ot worship in Bhutan which is very goodpublic, or meet together in house gatherings. Only Buddhist texts are allowed in the country. There are thought to be about 10,000 Christians.
