Hebrew ויאמר לו חלילה לא תמות הנה ־ אבי דבר גדול או דבר קטן ולא יגלה את־אזני ומדוע יסתיר אבי ממני את־הדבר הזה אין זאת׃
Greek και ειπεν αυτω ιωναθαν μηδαμως σοι ου μη αποθανης ιδου ου μη ποιηση ο πατηρ μου ρημα μεγα η μικρον και ουκ αποκαλυψει το ωτιον μου και τι οτι κρυψει ο πατηρ μου το ρημα τουτο ουκ εστιν
Latin Qui dixit ei : Absit, non morieris : neque enim faciet pater meus quidquam grande vel parvum, nisi prius indicaverit mihi : hunc ergo celavit me pater meus sermonem tantummodo ? nequaquam erit istud.
KJV And he said unto him, God forbid; thou shalt not die: behold, my father will do nothing either great or small, but that he will shew it me: and why should my father hide this thing from me? it is not so.
