Hebrew ויאמר דוד אל־גד צר־לי מאד נפלה־נא ביד־יהוה כי־רבים וביד־אדם אל־אפלה׃
Greek και ειπεν δαυιδ προς γαδ στενα μοι παντοθεν σφοδρα εστιν εμπεσουμαι δη εν χειρι κυριου οτι πολλοι οι οικτιρμοι αυτου σφοδρα εις δε χειρας ανθρωπου ου μη εμπεσω και εξελεξατο εαυτω δαυιδ τον
Latin Dixit autem David ad Gad : Coarctor nimis : sed melius est ut incidam in manus Domini (multæ enim misericordiæ ejus sunt) quam in manus hominum.
KJV And David said unto Gad, I am in a great strait: let us fall now into the hand of the LORD; for his mercies are great: and let me not fall into the hand of man.
