Hebrew על כן לא התהלך ישוע עוד בתוך היהודים בגלוי כי אם סר משם לארץ הקרובה אל המדבר אל עיר עפרים ויגר שם עם תלמידיו׃
Greek ο ουν ιησους ουκετι παρρησια περιεπατει εν τοις ιουδαιοις αλλα απηλθεν εκειθεν εις την χωραν εγγυς της ερημου εις εφραιμ λεγομενην πολιν κακει εμεινεν μετα των μαθητων
Latin Jesus ergo jam non in palam ambulabat apud Judæos, sed abiit in regionem juxta desertum, in civitatem quæ dicitur Ephrem, et ibi morabatur cum discipulis suis.
