כי בטרם ילדו בניה ועוד לא עשו טוב או רע למען תקום עצת האלהים כפי בחירתו לא מתוך מעשים כי אם כרצון הקרא׃

Greek μηπω γαρ γεννηθεντων μηδε πραξαντων τι αγαθον η φαυλον ινα η κατ εκλογην προθεσις του θεου μενη
Latin Cum enim nondum nati fuissent, aut aliquid boni egissent, aut mali (ut secundum electionem propositum Dei maneret),
