The Book of Jeremiah (יִרְמְיָהוּ Yirmiyahu in Hebrew) is a book of the Old Testament. It records the words and events surrounding the life the prophet Jeremiah who lived at the time of the destruction of Solomon's Temple in Jerusalem during the fall of the Kingdom of Judah at the hands of Babylonia.
