Synopsis
The Book of Mormon is a book of scripture held sacred by various Mormons, including the The Church of Jesus Christ and Latter Day Saints. Mormons believe that it was translated by Joseph Smith and is the record of God's dealings with the people of the American continents, approximately between the years 600 BC and 400 AD. Others believe that it was fabricated by Joseph Smith and teaches a false religion. The Book of Mormon is called "Another Testament of Jesus Christ".

The Book of Mormon is a book of scripture held sacred by various religions, the largest being The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Opinions vary regarding the book. Some believe that it was translated by Joseph Smith Jr. and is the record of God's dealings with the people of the American continents, approximately between the years 600 BC and 400 AD. Others believe that it was fabricated by Joseph Smith and teaches a false religion.
The climax of the book involves a visit by the resurrected Jesus Christ, shortly after his crucifixion. The Book of Mormon is titled "Another Testament of Jesus Christ," and is considered by Mormons to be one in a set of canonized spiritual writings side-by-side to The Old Testament and The New Testament.
