Carey has always wanted to record a record that would capture a live feel without compromising the message which is timeless.
" I'm sick 'n' tired of trying to write a formulated song or genre of song; just so it can fit into the current industrial mould."
I want to record who I am as an artist on a record.
I need to allow these songs to be born," say's Carey.
Producer [http://www.christianmusiconline.com/david-rashed/ David Rashed], suggested that Carey go back to his musical roots. So I set up shop in my basement and to grab your amp & just played play trying not to be hindered or regulate every sound that I heardYou hear. This brought inspiration & many dormant ideas to the surface. The result was a much more _ Live and spontaneous CD called "Free To Fly". Some songs were inspired by dreams and the ideas were recorded spontaneously & almost live off the floor; while the other songs were worked & built on favorite musical ideas."Free to Fly" is a guitar driven relavant CD that captures the many song-writing styles of Carey; and features: Eastcoast Producor; & member of Canadian Rock Band, Haywire; David Rashed co-writing & gtrs. & [http://cherryridgestudio.com/newsarchives.shtml Tommy Detamore] steel gtrs / Floresville Texas.
