Some of the most well-known movies have strong Christian themes.

Notable Christian movies

A Christian movie might be defined as a film which shares some truths from the Bible and/or has a theme that points the viewer to Jesus Christ.

One of the earliest movies with a Biblical theme was The Ten Commandments by Cecil B. DeMill.

In 2004, director Mel Gibson's The Passion of the Christ was released. This film described the night of Jesus' betrayal, questionig, beatings and death. The film made a world-wide impact.

In 2005, the movie The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe was released based on the famous book by Christian author C.S. Lewis.
