In 1905, Ferdinand Zecca and Lucien Nonguet co-direct La vie et la passion de Jésus Christ. This film would be among the first production to features the life of Christ on the big screen, for a large number of people; it was the first time in their life that they had the gospels on a big screen. A couple of years later, in the early 10's, Cecil B.DeMille became very famous among moviegoers by making films with religious themes.
