Easton's Bible Dictionary refers to the Illustrated Bible Dictionary, Third Edition, by Matthew George Easton M.A., D.D. (1823-1894), published three years after Easton's death in 1897 by Thomas Nelson. Using the most recent information in that day, Easton presented a concise volume that has aided both layman and scholar in their study of God's word.

Because of its age, it is now a public domain resource. Easton's Bible Dictionary contains an extensive set of entries used in the Bible, albeit from a 19th century Christian viewpoint.
