| Ecumenism, pluralism and interfaith dialogue are all subjects and ideas that have been gaining momentum in recent decades. Ecumenism is the movement of unifying Christian denominations. It makes sense in theory because the church is one body in Christ and so all Christians are unified in that sense. However, in practical terms, there are many problems that mean denomination divisions will continue.
