The Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church is an [[Oriental Orthodox]] church in Ethiopia that was part of the Coptic Church until 1959, when it was granted its own Patriarch by Coptic Pope Cyril VI. It is the only pre-colonial Christian church of Sub-Saharan Africa and has a membership of about 35 million people worldwide.
The Ethiopian Orthodox Church recognizes the largest Bible compared to every other denomination: recognizing 81 total books.
