The Canadian Evangelical Christian Churches was founded in 1804 under the name The Evangelical Christian Church. The founder of CECC was Barton Stone who led the way of the Great Awakening of the early 1800s.

The Central Office of the Canadian Evangelical Christian Churches is in Waterloo, Ontario Canada. The President is Dr. David Lavigne
