- "You shall not spread a false report. Don't join your hand with the wicked to be a malicious witness.
- "You shall not follow a crowd to do evil; neither shall you testify in court to side with a multitude to pervert justice;
- neither shall you favor a poor man in his cause.
- "If you meet your enemy's ox or his donkey going astray, you shall surely bring it back to him again.
- If you see the donkey of him who hates you fallen down under his burden, don't leave him, you shall surely help him with it.
- "You shall not deny justice to your poor people in their lawsuits.
- "Keep far from a false charge, and don't kill the innocent and righteous: for I will not justify the wicked.
- "You shall take no bribe, for a bribe blinds those who have sight and perverts the words of the righteous.
- "You shall not oppress an alien, for you know the heart of an alien, since you were aliens in the land of Egypt.
- "For six years you shall sow your land, and shall gather in its increase,
- but the seventh year you shall let it rest and lie fallow, that the poor of your people may eat; and what they leave the animal of the field shall eat. In the same way, you shall deal with your vineyard and with your olive grove.
- "Six days you shall do your work, and on the seventh day you shall rest, that your ox and your donkey may have rest, and the son of your handmaid, and the alien may be refreshed.
- "Be careful to do all things that I have said to you; and don't invoke the name of other gods, neither let them be heard out of your mouth.
- "You shall observe a feast to me three times a year.
- You shall observe the feast of unleavened bread. Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread, as I commanded you, at the time appointed in the month Abib (for in it you came out from Egypt), and no one shall appear before me empty.
- And the feast of harvest, the first fruits of your labors, which you sow in the field: and the feast of harvest, at the end of the year, when you gather in your labors out of the field.
- Three times in the year all your males shall appear before the Lord Yahweh.
- "You shall not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leavened bread, neither shall the fat of my feast remain all night until the morning.
- The first of the first fruits of your ground you shall bring into the house of Yahweh your God. "You shall not boil a young goat in its mother's milk.
- "Behold, I send an angel before you, to keep you by the way, and to bring you into the place which I have prepared.
- Pay attention to him, and listen to his voice. Don't provoke him, for he will not pardon your disobedience, for my name is in him.
- But if you indeed listen to his voice, and do all that I speak, then I will be an enemy to your enemies, and an adversary to your adversaries.
- For my angel shall go before you, and bring you in to the Amorite, the Hittite, the Perizzite, the Canaanite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite; and I will cut them off.
- You shall not bow down to their gods, nor serve them, nor follow their practices, but you shall utterly overthrow them and demolish their pillars.
- You shall serve Yahweh your God, and he will bless your bread and your water, and I will take sickness away from your midst.
- No one will miscarry or be barren in your land. I will fulfill the number of your days.
- I will send my terror before you, and will confuse all the people to whom you come, and I will make all your enemies turn their backs to you.
- I will send the hornet before you, which will drive out the Hivite, the Canaanite, and the Hittite, from before you.
- I will not drive them out from before you in one year, lest the land become desolate, and the animals of the field multiply against you.
- Little by little I will drive them out from before you, until you have increased and inherit the land.
- I will set your border from the Red Sea even to the sea of the Philistines, and from the wilderness to the River; for I will deliver the inhabitants of the land into your hand, and you shall drive them out before you.
- You shall make no covenant with them, nor with their gods.
- They shall not dwell in your land, lest they make you sin against me, for if you serve their gods, it will surely be a snare to you."

- לא תשא שמע שוא אל־תשת ידך עם־רשע להית עד חמס׃ ס
- לא־תהיה אחרי־רבים לרעת ולא־תענה על־רב לנטת אחרי רבים להטת׃
- ודל לא תהדר בריבו׃ ס
- כי תפגע שור איבך או חמרו תעה השב תשיבנו לו׃ ס
- כי־תראה חמור שנאך רבץ תחת משאו וחדלת מעזב לו עזב תעזב עמו׃ ס
- לא תטה משפט אבינך בריבו׃
- מדבר־שקר תרחק ונקי וצדיק אל־תהרג כי לא־אצדיק רשע׃
- ושחד לא תקח כי השחד יעור פקחים ויסלף דברי צדיקים׃
- וגר לא תלחץ ואתם ידעתם את־נפש הגר כי־גרים הייתם בארץ מצרים׃
- ושש שנים תזרע את־ארצך ואספת את־תבואתה׃
- והשביעת תשמטנה ונטשתה ואכלו אביני עמך ויתרם תאכל חית השדה כן־תעשה לכרמך לזיתך׃
- ששת ימים תעשה מעשיך וביום השביעי תשבת למען ינוח שורך וחמרך וינפש בן־אמתך והגר׃
- ובכל אשר־אמרתי אליכם תשמרו ושם אלהים אחרים לא תזכירו לא ישמע על־פיך׃
- שלש רגלים תחג לי בשנה׃
- את־חג המצות תשמר שבעת ימים תאכל מצות כאשר צויתך למועד חדש האביב כי־בו יצאת ממצרים ולא־יראו פני ריקם׃
- וחג הקציר בכורי מעשיך אשר תזרע בשדה וחג האסף בצאת השנה באספך את־מעשיך מן־השדה׃
- שלש פעמים בשנה יראה כל־זכורך אל־פני האדן יהוה׃
- לא־תזבח על־חמץ דם־זבחי ולא־ילין חלב־חגי עד־בקר׃
- ראשית בכורי אדמתך תביא בית יהוה אלהיך לא־תבשל גדי בחלב אמו׃ ס
- הנה אנכי שלח מלאך לפניך לשמרך בדרך ולהביאך אל־המקום אשר הכנתי׃
- השמר מפניו ושמע בקלו אל־תמר בו כי לא ישא לפשעכם כי שמי בקרבו׃
- כי אם־שמע תשמע בקלו ועשית כל אשר אדבר ואיבתי את־איביך וצרתי את־צרריך׃
- כי־ילך מלאכי לפניך והביאך אל־האמרי והחתי והפרזי והכנעני החוי והיבוסי והכחדתיו׃
- לא־תשתחוה לאלהיהם ולא תעבדם ולא תעשה כמעשיהם כי הרס תהרסם ושבר תשבר מצבתיהם׃
- ועבדתם את יהוה אלהיכם וברך את־לחמך ואת־מימיך והסרתי מחלה מקרבך׃
- לא תהיה משכלה ועקרה בארצך את־מספר ימיך אמלא׃
- את־אימתי אשלח לפניך והמתי את־כל־העם אשר תבא בהם ונתתי את־כל־איביך אליך ערף׃
- ושלחתי את־הצרעה לפניך וגרשה את־החוי את־הכנעני ואת־החתי מלפניך׃
- לא אגרשנו מפניך בשנה אחת פן־תהיה הארץ שממה ורבה עליך חית השדה׃
- מעט מעט אגרשנו מפניך עד אשר תפרה ונחלת את־הארץ׃
- ושתי את־גבלך מים־סוף ועד־ים פלשתים וממדבר עד־הנהר כי אתן בידכם את ישבי הארץ וגרשתמו מפניך׃
- לא־תכרת להם ולאלהיהם ברית׃
- לא ישבו בארצך פן־יחטיאו אתך לי כי תעבד את־אלהיהם כי־יהיה לך למוקש׃ ף

- Non suscipies vocem mendacii, nec junges manum tuam ut pro impio dicas falsum testimonium.
- Non sequeris turbam ad faciendum malum : nec in judicio, plurimorum acquiesces sententiæ, ut a vero devies.
- Pauperis quoque non misereberis in judicio.
- Si occurreris bovi inimici tui, aut asino erranti, reduc ad eum.
- Si videris asinum odientis te jacere sub onere, non pertransibis, sed sublevabis cum eo.
- Non declinabis in judicium pauperis.
- Mendacium fugies. Insontem et justum non occides : quia aversor impium.
- Nec accipies munera, quæ etiam excæcant prudentes, et subvertunt verba justorum.
- Peregrino molestus non eris. Scitis enim advenarum animas : quia et ipsi peregrini fuistis in terra Ægypti.
- Sex annis seminabis terram tuam, et congregabis fruges ejus :
- anno autem septimo dimittes eam, et requiescere facies, ut comedant pauperes populi tui : et quidquid reliquum fuerit, edant bestiæ agri : ita facies in vinea et in oliveto tuo.
- Sex diebus operaberis : septimo die cessabis, ut requiescat bos et asinus tuus, et refrigeretur filius ancillæ tuæ, et advena.
- Omnia quæ dixi vobis, custodite. Et per nomen externorum deorum non jurabitis, neque audietur ex ore vestro.
- Tribus vicibus per singulos annos mihi festa celebrabitis.
- Solemnitatem azymorum custodies. Septem diebus comedes azyma, sicut præcepi tibi, tempore mensis novorum, quando egressus es de Ægypto : non apparebis in conspectu meo vacuus.
- Et solemnitatem messis primitivorum operis tui, quæcumque seminaveris in agro : solemnitatem quoque in exitu anni, quando congregaveris omnes fruges tuas de agro.
- Ter in anno apparebit omne masculinum tuum coram Domino Deo tuo.
- Non immolabis super fermento sanguinem victimæ meæ, nec remanebit adeps solemnitatis meæ usque mane.
- Primitias frugum terræ tuæ deferes in domum Domini Dei tui. Non coques hædum in lacte matris suæ.
- Ecce ego mittam angelum meum, qui præcedat te, et custodiat in via, et introducat in locum quem paravi.
- Observa eum, et audi vocem ejus, nec contemnendum putes : quia non dimittet cum peccaveris, et est nomen meum in illo.
- Quod si audieris vocem ejus, et feceris omnia quæ loquor, inimicus ero inimicis tuis, et affligam affligentes te.
- Præcedetque te angelus meus, et introducet te ad Amorrhæum, et Hethæum, et Pherezæum, Chananæumque, et Hevæum, et Jebusæum, quos ego conteram.
- Non adorabis deos eorum, nec coles eos : non facies opera eorum, sed destrues eos, et confringes statuas eorum.
- Servietisque Domino Deo vestro, ut benedicam panibus tuis et aquis, et auferam infirmitatem de medio tui.
- Non erit infœcunda, nec sterilis in terra tua : numerum dierum tuorum implebo.
- Terrorem meum mittam in præcursum tuum, et occidam omnem populum, ad quem ingredieris : cunctorumque inimicorum tuorum coram te terga vertam :
- emittens crabrones prius, qui fugabunt Hevæum, et Chananæum, et Hethæum, antequam introëas.
- Non ejiciam eos a facie tua anno uno : ne terra in solitudinem redigatur, et crescant contra te bestiæ.
- Paulatim expellam eos de conspectu tuo, donec augearis, et possideas terram.
- Ponam autem terminos tuos a mari Rubro usque ad mare Palæstinorum, et a deserto usque ad fluvium : tradam in manibus vestris habitatores terræ, et ejiciam eos de conspectu vestro.
- Non inibis cum eis fœdus, nec cum diis eorum.

- Thou shalt not raise a false report: put not thine hand with the wicked to be an unrighteous witness.
- Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do evil; neither shalt thou speak in a cause to decline after many to wrest judgment:
- Neither shalt thou countenance a poor man in his cause.
- If thou meet thine enemy's ox or his ass going astray, thou shalt surely bring it back to him again.
- If thou see the ass of him that hateth thee lying under his burden, and wouldest forbear to help him, thou shalt surely help with him.
- Thou shalt not wrest the judgment of thy poor in his cause.
- Keep thee far from a false matter; and the innocent and righteous slay thou not: for I will not justify the wicked.
- And thou shalt take no gift: for the gift blindeth the wise, and perverteth the words of the righteous.
- Also thou shalt not oppress a stranger: for ye know the heart of a stranger, seeing ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.
- And six years thou shalt sow thy land, and shalt gather in the fruits thereof:
- But the seventh year thou shalt let it rest and lie still; that the poor of thy people may eat: and what they leave the beasts of the field shall eat. In like manner thou shalt deal with thy vineyard, and with thy oliveyard.
