The firstborn of a donkey you shall redeem with a lamb: and if you will not redeem it, then you shall break its neck. All the firstborn of your sons you shall redeem. No one shall appear before me empty.

Hebrew ופטר חמור תפדה בשה ואם־לא תפדה וערפתו כל בכור בניך תפדה ולא־יראו פני ריקם׃
Greek και πρωτοτοκον υποζυγιου λυτρωση προβατω εαν δε μη λυτρωση αυτο τιμην δωσεις παν πρωτοτοκον των υιων σου λυτρωση ουκ οφθηση ενωπιον μου
Latin Primogenitum asini redimes ove : sin autem nec pretium pro eo dederis, occidetur. Primogenitum filiorum tuorum redimes : nec apparebis in conspectu meo vacuus.
KJV But the firstling of an ass thou shalt redeem with a lamb: and if thou redeem him not, then shalt thou break his neck. All the firstborn of thy sons thou shalt redeem. And none shall appear before me empty.
